February 2011 PMQG Meeting and Mug Rug Swap

This past Tuesday night was the Philly Modern Quilt Guild's February meeting. We exchanged mug rugs, had "show and tell" and shared our favorite thread! Below are some photos of all the mug rugs. Thanks to all who participated. See you in March - make sure to get to work on your monochromatic challenge project!

Denise tried hexagons for the first time!
Machine-binding was not Julie's friend, but it turned out great anyway!
Carol made fabric, tried free-motion quilting, and incorporated circles!
Cindy was inspired by The Practical Guide to Patchwork
Tricia tried her hand at applique!

Angie tried using selvage pieces for the first time.
Candi played around with solids.
And since I was the photographer, there was no photo of me showing my mug rug, but here's a photo I took of it. I incorporated paper-pieced hexagons.
